Harrow Liberal Democrats have raised serious concerns over the decline in frontline policing, highlighting how both the Conservatives and Labour have consistently failed to protect vital police services.

Harrow Lib Dem Chair, Joseph Gaunt, said: “Community policing is essential for keeping our neighbourhoods safe. Residents should be able to speak to an officer face-to-face, but years of cuts and political point-scoring from both the Conservatives and Labour have left our communities short-changed and vulnerable.”

He added: “At a time when trust in policing and visible presence on our streets is more important than ever, the two main parties have chosen to blame one another rather than take responsibility. The truth is clear: both have let our police service down.”

Harrow Liberal Democrats are campaigning to restore proper community policing, including protecting 24/7 front desk access. They are urging residents to back their petition to ensure local people continue to have the face-to-face support they deserve.
