And yes... this is during the election.  But  we know people aren't out canvassing every night! And speaking for myself, I always leave the drinks motivated by an evening meeting my fellow Lib Dems - hearing about all their good work and having some fun together.

We are usually at Table 5, so order and pay at the bar for your drinks and food (if you are eating) and then join us, on the 2nd Monday of each month from 18:30 until 21:00 at The Orchard pub in Archer's Gate, SP4 7XT.  When some of our councillors - not just the Lib Dems - get together with whoever turns up for informal chat.  The conversation is organic and it goes where it flows, but we're just like-minded people getting together over a drink or two.

Following the booming success of our first Coffee & Politics morning, we've decided to make this a monthly event.

Tim Farron was first elected as the Liberal Democrat MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale on May 5, 2005. He won the seat ending a 95-year period of Conservative representation, and it is now the Liberal Democrats' longest continuously held seat in England.

During that time, Tim has built a strong track record of being a visible and hard-working constituency MP who gets things done - whether that’s bringing chemotherapy treatment to Westmorland General Hospital, helping to save vital rural GP surgeries, or even organising a free heritage train service on the Lakes Line when Northern gave up trying to run their own trains!

Tim speaks for the Liberal Democrats in the House of Commons on Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

There will be raffle and other tickets available on the night, and we are now able to accept either cash or card payments.
