The event is being held at Braunston Marina on the eve of their annual historic boat rally weekend.
The Marina have kindly given us access to their facilities to hold an event at what is a thoroughly interesting location lying at the crossroads of the Grand Union and Oxford canals.

You helped us make history. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our volunteers and supporters, we won Davenport & Cale Green for the Liberal Democrats and took majority control of Stockport Council.
None of it would have been possible without you. Every door knocked, every leaflet delivered, and every conversation on the doorstep made a real difference to Alice's campaign and to the result we achieved on election night. Together, we turned Davenport & Cale Green Lib Dem and helped deliver a historic majority on Stockport Council.

Female subordination. Sexist 'modesty' codes. Violence against women. These are forms of misogyny we would expect charities to try to combat. Yet as the National Secular Society's ground-breaking report "Mission and Misogyny" reveals, too many charities are promoting these ideas – all under the cloak of 'advancing religion'.
Report author Megan Manson will explain how religious fundamentalists are exploiting our charity sector to promote regressive and harmful ideas about women. Her presentation will summarise the report's findings, and include video clips from sermons revealing how religious charities have used the cover of 'the advancement of religion' to promote or condone misogyny.
Megan Manson is head of campaigns at the NSS. She previously worked for the Japanese government promoting cultural exchange and language learning. She has long been active in local interfaith initiatives.
