David Laws, former MP and Cabinet Minister, will talk about his book ‘Serpents, Goats and Turkeys’ – the definitive insider history of the often turbulent political relationship between Liberals and Labour. He will also be signing copies which will be available on the night. The venue is a lovely meeting space on a regenerative, organic farm in the North Cotswolds.

Tim Farron was first elected as the Liberal Democrat MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale on May 5, 2005. He won the seat ending a 95-year period of Conservative representation, and it is now the Liberal Democrats' longest continuously held seat in England.

During that time, Tim has built a strong track record of being a visible and hard-working constituency MP who gets things done - whether that’s bringing chemotherapy treatment to Westmorland General Hospital, helping to save vital rural GP surgeries, or even organising a free heritage train service on the Lakes Line when Northern gave up trying to run their own trains!

Tim speaks for the Liberal Democrats in the House of Commons on Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

All Day: We will be open all day from 10 am to 4pm for anyone to come in and help out with crucial clerical work or pick up deliveries.
We have lots of blue letters that need to addressed and it would be amazing to have support for this. 

Additionally we have leaflets that need to be delivered across the constituency so please come in and help us spread our message across the constituency. These include in Cyncoed, Heath, Plasnewydd, Llandaff North, Whitchurch, Llanrumeny and Rhwibina!

Tickets are now available for our 8th April hot buffet meal with Sir Ed Davey MP as our special guest speaker. Please come along and enjoy with us an evening, of good food, socialising and latest news in politics.

We are looking to raise funds for campaigning for the May elections where we hope to expand our Group on the Council.

The venue is Denton Golf Club where we are returning after popular success of our dinners there last year. There is full disabled access with a lift and all facilities are on the same floor.

The cost is £55 with a £5 discount for purchases before 18th March (£50). For booking a table of 10 as a block a further £5 per person discount is available, please contact pjones@mcrlibdems.uk to arrange payment directly.
